No experience is necessary! Our workshops cater to all levels, from complete beginners to those wanting to refine their craft.

Yes! SoundSpace MCR is an inclusive space, and we actively support neurodivergent participants, including those with ADHD, autism, and other learning differences. We create a safe, structured, and flexible learning environment to ensure all participants feel comfortable and supported.

Prices vary depending on the workshop. We offer standard and subsidised pricing for eligible participants (such as those on free school meals, NEET, or asylum seekers). Check our pricing page for details.

Workshops take place in Manchester at our creative hub, equipped with industry-standard iMacs and software.

 

For most workshops, we provide all the necessary software and equipment. However, for photography and videography workshops, participants will need to use the cameras provided by our tutor.

Our workshops are designed for young creatives aged 13-25, including beginners and those looking to develop their skills in music production, content creation, performance, and the music business.

We provide:

  • Breakout spaces for those who may need quiet time.
  • Flexible teaching methods, including visual, hands-on, and step-by-step instructions.

Yes, our tutors are trained to be patient, flexible, and supportive of different learning styles. If you need extra time, alternative communication methods, or a different way to complete tasks, just let us know.

Yes! If you require a support worker, personal assistant, or trusted person with you during the session, we are happy to accommodate this.

Of course! We encourage participants to take breaks if needed. We also have quiet spaces available for those who may need time away from the main session.

You’ll learn how to create, mix, and master your own tracks using professional digital audio workstations (DAWs), as well as sound design and beat-making techniques.

This workshop teaches photography, videography, and podcasting, from shooting and editing to storytelling and content creation.

You’ll gain confidence in stage presence, vocal delivery, and audience engagement, preparing you for live performances.

You’ll learn about branding, royalties, contracts, and marketing strategies to navigate the business side of music and build a sustainable career.

Yes! We offer subsidised pricing for disadvantaged participants, including those with disabilities or neurodivergence. If you’re eligible, you can apply for reduced workshop fees.

 

We understand that things come up. While we encourage full attendance, we can provide notes and guidance to help you catch up.

Yes, all participants will receive a SoundSpace MCR Certificate of Completion, and for some programmes, there are additional accreditation opportunities in the form of Arts Awards.

Our workshops are led by industry professionals with real-world experience in music production, content creation, and artist development.

Each workshop runs for 6 weeks, with one 2–3 hour session per week.
